I'm currently plotting out three long fics, all for the Watchmen fandom, all of which are pretty fucking cracky. And there's a fourth fic that will probably be at about 5000 words when it's done (if I ever pick it up again). BRAIN WHY YOU DO THIS TO MEEEE
Started reading the Bible for the first time since, oh, probably since I was 11. I'm hoping there'll be some stuff I can use with my Watchmen fics, but. Dude. They are all so whiny. 'Goood, bless me, please? Pretty please? And while you're at it strike down my enemies? They are jerks man just /jerks/ and I'm all totally loving you so you'll take me to heaven and stuff and make the meanies burn, right? RIGHT?'
Anyway, I'm starting with Psalms, 'cause it's supposed to be poetic. I'm not too impressed. I mean occasionally they throw in a cool line like 'Their throat is an open grave; with their tongue they speak deceit...' Then again, the Bible kind of invented poetry or something, so I can't exactly dog on it. Some historical context would probably help oodles and oodles, but. For now I'm just taking it at face-value. -shrug-
Other stuff I want to read: The Qur'an, the Torah, the sutras for Buddhism (which I've already skimmed through, thanks to Avatar). Other philosophical stuff like Nietzsche. I remember that when I was a girl, my dad went kind of crazy with this kind of stuff. Now it's finally rubbing off on me, I guess. I am at That Point in my life, or whatever. How have people seen the world? How do people see the world now? What do these books that have changed the world so irreversibly say, anyway? and etc. etc. ad nauseum.

"Shock of impact ran along my arm. Jet of warmth spattered on chest, like hot faucet. It was Kovacs who said "Mother" then, muffled under latex. It was Kovacs who closed his eyes. It was Rorschach who opened them again."
i'm awfully glad you liked my work :*)
